As the second largest expense after payroll for many businesses, healthcare costs are undermining profits and consuming more resources every year. Employees and families are also paying more in terms of higher health insurance premiums and out-of-pocket costs. Despite advances in cost containment solutions, costs continue to rise. To slow this trend, MediBarter seeks to help businesses and employees offset the cost of healthcare via trading. As part of our service, we will identify opportunities to trade for healthcare as opposed to paying. This can apply at the health plan level or to individual business owners, employees, and family members. .

There are two ways a trade may be recorded.
1. Trades can be arranged between members and entered by the seller. The transaction will be routed to our trading team for verification.
2. Trades facilitated by our trading team will be recorded in each member’s account on their behalf.
Gift cards can be converted to trade dollars which are credited to your account immediately. You do not need a buyer for your gift cards. Once we receive them, the corresponding dollar value is credited to your account and you can spend those trade dollars immediately.
In some cases a trade may be part cash and part trade. This can occur when the cost of materials is too much for the seller to absorb. The cash portion is paid directly to the seller, and the trade portion is recorded accordingly.
If you enter into a subscription trade your account will be debited automatically every 30 days in the agreed amount.
